He had found a small journal of mine at a local gallery and the gallery owners had shared my phone number with him and we had worked out details of the journal over the phone and internet/email. I mailed it to him in July so he would have enough time to insert the items he wanted on the inside.
We met this past weekend. He had bought a painting by an artist who captured the view from a family cabin. By buying this painting, my customer was also supporting a local charity. He used my journal to create a document showing the artist painting, the history of the charity and giving the artist's bio.
What a delightful use of my journal and a pleasure to meet him and see how my handmade paper journal was used as his daughter's wedding gift.
It is reassuring to meet a person who totally supports the local economy and handmade items.
